Empower, the world’s largest district cooling services provider, today announced that it will serve as a strategic sponsor of the upcoming Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), which will be held in Dubai from April 14- 16, 2014.
Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX is the region’s premiere platform for the energy, water and utilities sector. Empower’s participation will mark the tenth consecutive year of the company’s involvement at this event.
“As the foremost exhibition for the region’s utilities sector, WETEX promises to be a unique window of opportunity to reach stakeholders by showcasing the best practices and latest technologies in the electricity and water industry,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chief Executive Officer, Empower.
At its stand during the exhibition, the company will showcase its expanded facilities in a presentation, along with facts and statistics about its current and future projects, a portfolio that includes Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai Healthcare City, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, among many other prominent developments in Dubai .
Founded in 2003 following an Emiri decree, Empower is a joint venture between DEWA and Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone (TECOM) Investments. The company recently marked its 10th year anniversary by acquiring the facilities of Palm Utilities and Palm District Cooling to become the world’s largest district cooling services provider by capacity. Empower’s current market share now includes 70% of Dubai’s district cooling sector.
