Senior delegation to share expertise with global industry stakeholders at the 2015 gathering of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers
A senior delegation from Empower, the world’s largest district cooling services provider, will travel from Dubai to attend the 2015 Winter Conference of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The conference will explore sustainability and developing best practices across the built environment sector. It will be held in Chicago from January 24-28.
Leading the delegation will be His Excellency Ahmad Bin Shafar, Empower’s Chief Executive Officer. The company’s senior management team will hold a meeting with Mr. Thomas H. Phoenix, the president of ASHRAE, to discuss the latest updates in the district industry and how they will impact the sector at large.

Celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, ASHRAE boasts more than 51,000 members from across the globe. In 2013, Empower played a key role in the publication of the organization’s Design Manual for District Heating and Cooling, the first research project of its kind to be sponsored by a district cooling company. The manual has helped to standardize the design of district cooling plants and chilled water networks globally.
