Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world’s largest District Cooling Services provider, announced the qualitative industrial achievements over the past 15 years recorded by ELIPS, a pioneer in pre-insulated pipes manufacturing and innovative thermal solutions and a subsidiary of Empower. ELIPS has produced and supplied pre-insulated pipes exceeding 720 kilometers to more than 300 customers from the local and international markets during the tenure. The company has also completed over 200 projects inside and outside the UAE.
Empower's announcement of the impressive results of ELIPS came in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the commencement of ELIPS’ operations in its facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai, as another success story in the track record of the UAE-based international companies. The achievements put ELIPS at the forefront of pre-insulated pipes manufacturers, as the only company in the Middle East using carbon emission-free materials in its production of pre-insulated pipes and fittings. In recognition of its environmentally friendly practices, ELIPS has received various international certificates, notably the ISO certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (ISO45001), the Environmental Management System (ISO14001), and the Quality Management System (ISO9001). The company has also achieved the ‘EuroHeat & Power’ certification, which is granted in accordance with the guidelines for evaluating the quality of pipes, in addition to renewing its commitment to the specifications of the European International Network for District Cooling and Heating.
“During the past 15 years, ELIPS has expanded it’s reach to several markets, including Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt, and has moved forward steadily to consolidate the reputation of its prestigious and reliable brand in the production and supply of pre-insulated pipes that primarily serve district cooling projects,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chairman of ELIPS.
Bin Shafar explained that ELIPS is driven by great ambitions and is determined to become the first and largest pre-insulated pipes provider for all district cooling companies and the companies operating in the oil and gas sector in the region.
Based in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area and the largest in the UAE, ELIPS’ factory covers an area of approximately 1 million square feet and leverages the latest robotics-based manufacturing technologies. It produces pre-insulated pipes and fittings with specifications fully complied with the highest standards of energy efficiency, to meet the needs of district cooling and oil and gas industries, and marine and industrial installations.
