Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, celebrated 20 years of its establishment and honored its employees who have served the organization for more than 15, 10, and 5 years. The celebration and recognition ceremony took place during its Annual Staff Gathering held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. Over 800 employees, alongside His Excellency Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, and members of senior management, attended the event.
In his speech, the CEO, called the work teams “the most precious asset of our organization”. "The successes and achievements of Empower, including its global leadership as the world's largest district cooling services provider would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication of our work teams across various administrative, technical and engineering divisions," he said. "Dubai is proud of our competent teams, and their high professionalism and contributions to achieving the vision of its wise leadership, which supported Empower and provided it with all care and means of success to reach its leading position today."
Bin Shafar stressed that Empower's global leadership in the district cooling industry is the fruit of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, who envisioned Dubai to be the Number One at all levels. He also expressed his confidence in the ability of Empower's teams to make the organization far superior to its closest competitors in the district cooling sector.
Bin Shafar pointed out that the work atmosphere at Empower has become a role model for an ideal work environment that is full of transparency, empowerment and gratitude for the efforts of its devoted employees. "Honoring our employees reflects the Company’s appreciation for their efforts and giving, and its keenness to keep supporting them."
Bin Shafar briefed the attendees on Empower's key achievements, the record revenue made by the company, and the growth of its diversified projects portfolio. He also highlighted the expansion of the distribution network of the company to cover major regions of Dubai, in addition to the development of its services provided by its AI-based next-generation district cooling plants that leverage cutting-edge technologies for Empower to be the first in transforming the district cooling industry worldwide.
