Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, is set to participate in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Conference and Expo 2024, which will be held in Chicago, USA, from 20 to 24 January. Through its participation, Empower seeks to gain insights into cutting-edge, energy-efficient cooling solutions and technologies with the participation of many countries from all over the world. At the District Cooling Summit, hosted by Empower as a side event of the COP28 in December 2023 in Dubai, Empower and ASHRAE collaborated to advance the industry and standardize the District Cooling Guide. Following productive discussions, both parties agreed to a second meeting to take place at the ASHRAE Conference and Expo in January 2024 in the U.S., with the aim of signing an agreement between Empower and ASHRAE to work on the District Cooling Guide for the development of District Cooling Standard. The Standard will be applicable across various countries and cooling systems and will unlock environmental, climatic, and economic benefits for investors, customers, and the public alike. By promoting safe, efficient, and affordable cooling solutions, this collaboration promises to be a game-changer for the district cooling landscape.
