Located on a 10 million square feet plot on Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Habtoor City will be the largest integrated hotel complex in the Middle East when completed comprising three hotels with a total of 1,675 rooms and will be the largest hospitality and entertainment development in the world. The City hosts St. Regis owned by Starwood, W Dubai and Westin Dubai Hotels. The project also includes three luxury residential towers, food and beverage venues, a French-inspired garden and an iconic Las Vegas style aqua theatre. The development will also feature the world’s first Bentley café, 11 executive penthouses and a broad range of other amenities.

Meydan is the visionary concept of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Since its inaugural opening in 2010, Meydan has attracted the attention of the world. The Meydan Racecourse is the centrepiece of Meydan and offers a full season of exemplary horseracing, the highlight of which is the world’s most spectacular race day, the Dubai World Cup. The Meydan Group’s broad portfolio extends far beyond the racecourse. Meydan real estate projects include villas, townhouses and apartments, plus Emirates Airline housing that features 528 townhouses set amongst retail, lush green parks and vital amenities. Empower will be the District Cooling Services provider and will be served 410 buildings with a cooling capacity of 230,000 RT.
Bluewaters, developed by Meraas, is a modern and family-oriented man-made island located off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence. The island is connected to the mainland with a direct roadway to Sheikh Zayed Road.
Bluewaters features distinctive retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones. The island is home to Ain Dubai, the world’s largest and tallest observation wheel offering visitors and residents stunning 360-degree-views of the city.
Empower is serving the island with 25,000 Refrigeration Ton of district cooling services.
Aykon Towers are part of the Aykon City located on Sheikh Zayed Road within the 40-million-square-feet master development of Dubai Canal project. Aykon Towers will be serviced with District Cooling from Empower’s Business Bay Plants.
Being repeatedly voted as the world’s most luxurious hotel, Burj Al Arab is the pearl of the ocean. Its exquisitely sail-shaped exterior, and lavish ultra-modern interiors make it drop-dead gorgeous. It is the most expensive 7 star hotel and considered as one of the top most iconic man-made structures of the world. The symbol of luxury stands on an artificial island 280m away from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The shape of the structure is designed to resemble the sail of a ship.
Burj Al Arab is one of the project that Empower retrofitted to make the building adapted to district cooling services.
Business Bay is among Dubai’s busiest and dynamic business spots. Business Bay development is a mixed-use community with residential and commercial buildings and hotels. Empower’s first plant in Business Bay serves Business Bay Executive Towers (BBET) and its nearby developments with around 45,000 RT. Empower’s BB2 & BB3 district cooling plants in Business Bay development in Dubai were commissioned in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The first plant (BB2) is the region’s first district cooling plant of this scale built in line with U.S. Green Building guidelines. Both the plants are LEED certified, and collectively provide 90,000 RT of cooling services (45,000 RT each) to developments in the area. The fourth district cooling plant in Business Bay is under construction, which will have the capacity to deliver 50,000 RT. Empower’s Business Bay project will be the largest district cooling project in the world with a total capacity of 350,000 RT from six cooling plants upon completion. The project also increases the geographic scope of the company to include buildings from Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Khail Road.
Cityland Mall is one of the mega shopping destination in Dubai and is poised to become a key attraction for both residents and visitors. It features over 350 retail outlets, unique dining options, a variety of entertainment offerings and an expansive ‘Central Park’ – a 200,000 sq ft. botanical garden that will form the nucleus of the single-storey circular-shaped mall. Empower provides 14,000 RT cooling energy to Cityland Mall
Deira Waterfront is one of the prominent real estate projects in Dubai. It reflects the leading development role for Dubai’s sustainable projects. The project would occupy the last remaining Persian Gulf coastline of Dubai; it is a conglomeration of canals and artificial archipelago, as well as residential and commercial buildings, hotels, and other vital facilities that support Dubai as a tourist and commercial destination. Empower’s district cooling project for Deira Waterfront is being executed in two phases. The first phase includes providing 20,000 RT to 18 buildings, covering an area of 570,000 square meters and the second phase includes providing 25,000 RT to 28 buildings, covering a total area of around 910,000 square meters.
Having a total cooling capacity of 102,600 RT, all three District Cooling Plants in Discovery Gardens are being operated since early 2008. All 245 buildings are connected through a distribution network of approximately 60kms, which are all connected to the evenly distributed 3 Plant Rooms each having a capacity of 34,200 RT. Further expansion is planned for the development which will interconnect to the existing system.
Empower is supplying D3 120,000 RT of district cooling services for TECOM Group’s Dubai Design District (d3) project. The project, which is having estimated value of AED 750 million, is now being implemented in several phases. Empower is setting up two plants initially for this project, which will be following the latest standards in the district cooling industry. The plants will include Thermal Storage and will use TSE (Treated Sewage Effluent) to be aligned with the company’s strategy of sustainability and saving natural resources. Located close to Downtown Dubai and Business Bay, d3 is expected to be the creative hub in the Emirate’s flourishing design scene, with spaces for art, fashion and luxury outlets.
World-class healthcare facilities are provided over nine million feet of gross floor area at Dubai HealthCare City. Empower supplies district cooling services to hospitals, clinics and medical schools across the development. Empower’s DC offers reduced operating noise and vibration as well as guaranteed reliability, keeping patients, doctors, students and visitors comfortable, and increasing the facility manager’s available time for other issues. Empower’s cooling plant serving Dubai HealthCare City (DHCC) is designed for a total of 65,000 RT of cooling. The centralized system results in reduced capital and operating costs, and simpler set-up and maintenance. Empower has also installed a water polishing plant with a capacity to deliver 1000 m3/day of water in DHCC District Cooling Plant based on Reverse Osmosis technology. This is designed to treat and utilize TSE for make-up water consumption thus reducing the utilization of potable water.
Dubai Healthcare City is the Middle East and North Africa’s largest, integrated healthcare free-zone, made up of two communities: the Medical Community, occupying 4.1 million square feet consisting of outpatient clinics, hospitals, commercial offices, retail services and the planned 19 million square feet Wellness Community. DHCC offers a ‘one-stop shop’ for investors, giving Business Partners the freedom to focus on their core operations. Empower supplies Dubai Healthcare City phase 2 with 77,000 RT.
Established in 2007, Dubai International Academic City is the world’s largest academic ecosystem and is home to 27 universities from nine countries including Middlesex University, University of Manchester, University of Strathclyde, University of Bradford, Hult International Business School, Curtin University, SP Jain School of Global Management, Amity University, BITS Pilani and Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Located at the crossroads of major international capital markets from New York to London and Hong Kong, Dubai is the complementary hub connecting the region with nonstop, global financial network. Our plant at Dubai International Financial Center district (DIFC) has been established to cater to the district’s cooling requirements.
Empower currently serve DIFC a cooling load of around 60,000 RT along 19 to 23 million square feet of office, retail, residential, hotel and supporting structures. Another plant room for an additional 30,000 RT cooling load will be developed later. The Plant has been designed and constructed as a modern architecture matching DIFC’s overall development look and style.
Following the outstanding success of Dubai’s Internet City and Media City, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has pursued his vision of developing and fostering downstream industries within Dubai. Dubai Production City, formerly known as International Media Production Zone will provide the means by which a number of media production organizations will be able to share industry specific facilities. Covering 50 million square feet, the zone will offer 100% foreign ownership, pre-built warehousing and production facilities as well as residences, hotels and conference centres. The DPC had gone through a complete master plan update in 2014 to consider the requirements of the building owners for the upcoming expo 2020. New buildings came up which includes a shopping center (City Center) as well as hotels and residential buildings

Empower will be providing the project with 70,000 RT of district cooling services via Studio City plant room.

Then, it was through the landmark 39-storey Sheikh Rashid Tower. Today it is the region’s largest purpose-built complex for events and exhibitions. Empower is providing Dubai World Trade Centre with 55,000 RT for hotels and commercial and residential buildings.

In our pursuit to support Dubai government’s goals of possessing environment friendly energy systems, Empower has constructed one of the largest district cooling plants and chilled water distribution piping networks for one of the early prestigious projects of Dubai: Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR). Upgraded the district cooling plant that serves the development with new generation district cooling technology and increased the capacity to 70,000 RT from the initial capacity of 60,000.
This development has a total cooling requirement of 150,000 RT including a future expansion plan. Currently, the development is being served by three chilled water plant rooms with total capacity of 105,000 RT and network piping of 35 Kms. The areas served include residential and commercial Towers at Jumeirah Lake Towers development along with Jumeirah Lake Towers Embankment and Gemplex buildings.
Madinat Jumeirah Living developed by Dubai Holding is an exclusive freehold residential development located in a prime location in Jumeirah, opposite the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and it’s connected to major roads like Jumeirah Road, Umm Suqeim Road, Sheikh Zayed Road, making it the ideal destination within Dubai. Empower is providing the project with 256,000 RT of district cooling services from its 6 plant rooms operating in the area.
Madinat Jumeirah is part of Jumeirah Group and complements Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Empower provides District Cooling services with 15,000 RT to Madinat Jumeirah, which is an Arabian mini-city in Dubai, comprising five-star hotels, ornate souks and beachfront hotspots.Madinat Jumeirah features grand boutique hotels, including Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam and Jumeirah Al Naseem, alongside a cluster of traditional summerhouses at Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf and seven grand homes at Jumeirah Malakiya Villas.There is an entire river system five kilometres in length complete with its own fleet of traditional abra boats. You can take a tour around the whole property on one of these in-house abras and stop by Souk Madinat Jumeirah along the way.

Centrally located adjacent to the Dubai World Trade Centre, One Za’abeel is comprised of three key components, namely Towers A & B and ‘The Link’, one of the longest cantilevered structures in the world, which bridges the towers at a height of 100 meters. Empower serves this iconic project with a total capacity of 11,060 RT, in which the Tower B is connected with 3,480 RT and the Tower is connected with 7,580 RT
The Palm Jumeirah is an archipelago of artificial islands in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, created using land reclamation, which extends into the Persian Gulf. Palm Jumeirah is shaped like a palm tree when viewed from above. Trunk, spine, fronds, and crescent are the names by which the principal sectors of Palm Jumeirah are known. Apartments, retail facilities, and a few hotels are situated on the trunk. Closely spaced villas line the long fronds, while most of the hotels and resorts are located on the crescent.
Empower provide district cooling services from a total of eight plant rooms to the buildings on Palm Jumeirah’s Trunk and Crescent with a total capacity of 225,000 Refrigeration Ton.
Empower provide district cooling services from four plant rooms to the Towers on Palm Jumeirah’s trunk with a total capacity of 105,000 RT, through a distribution network of 16 kms. Two plant rooms of 28,000 RT (known as T1 & T2) are located at one location at the onshore end of the island, and two other plant rooms of 22,500 RT (T4) and 26,500 (T3) are located at the top end of the Trunk.
DAMAC Towers by Paramount Hotels & Resorts Dubai consist of four towers located on Sheikh Zayed Road. The towers stretch over 250 meters in height, joined by a multi-level plaza. Empower is providing the project with 7,000 RT of district cooling services via its Business Bay plant rooms.
The Address Jumeirah Resort and Spa is located at Jumeirah Beach Walk in Dubai Marina. The hotel features 75 floor-tower providing residents with exclusive access to the resort’s leisure and entertainment amenities. Empower is providing the project with 6,500 RT of district cooling services via its JBR plant room.
The Wasl1 project is located in proximity to Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Jafiliya Metro Station with views on Zabeel Park. Wasl1 will feature 13 residential towers, of which the first phase — Park Gate Residences — comprises four towers consisting of 746 residential units. Empower supply Wasl1 with 30,000 RT from the DIFC plant.
Dubai Maritime City (DMC) located between Port Rashid and Dubai Dry Dock. Dubai Maritime City (DMC) is a multi-purpose maritime district with a total area of 227 hectares (2.27 km2) and focusing on maritime industry comprising - industrial, commercial, residential and leisure facilities. It aims to capitalize Dubai’s strengths and position as a regional and global maritime hub in order to create a dynamic urban life style for maritime community. The culture at DMC is a forward thinking as the project itself, it’s constantly changing and improving to enhance the industry and support Dubai’s initiative to be a sustainable maritime hub.
Empower will be the District Cooling Services provider for DMS with a total cooling capacity of approximately 65,000 RT through two District Cooling Plants.
